Kanye West leaves Jay-Zs Tidal over money dispute

Tidal Launch Event NYC #TIDALforALL

Kanye West has made a decision to leave Jay-Z's premium streaming service Tidal over a financial dispute, TMZ reports. TMZ reports that Kanye will sue the company back if they take legal action against him.

According to sources close to TIDAL, Kanye West has been unhappy with the company for quite some time. Over the next two weeks, both sides are said to have tried to find common ground, but failed, with West's lawyer sending out a second letter informing the company the contract was over.

Kanye accused Tidal of failing to give him a bonus for the Saint Pablo album, which was a huge success and helped Tidal get no less than 1.5 million new subscribers.

Kanye also claims that Tidal has refused to reimburse him for music videos.

Sources tell the site that West's lawyer sent a letter to Tidal about a month ago, stating that the company was in breach and that West's contract would be terminated.

He rapped: "You dropped outta school, you lost your principles/ I know people backstab you, I feel bad too/ But this fuck everybody attitude ain't natural". It also believes that Kanye still has an exclusive contract, and has threatened a lawsuit if he jumps ship for another streaming provider. "Kanye had a real hard time past year and is still coming out of it, so to hit him like that wasn't cool", the source said. Some of the targets include Kanye West, Future and hip-hop's new generation. But you ain't the same, this ain't KumbaYe / But you got hurt because you did cool by "Ye".

The tides have turned on Kanye West and JAY-Z's business relationship.

Fans have gotten pretty used to great things coming from this duo; their co-produced album Watch The Throne was a hit in 2011. In 2015, intense speculation surrounding Tidal's performance forced Jay-Z to defend the service in a Twitter rant.

Kim and Kayne attended Blue Ivy's birthday this year, and they sent their congratulations when Beyonce gave birth to the twins.
