Beyonce and Jay-Z welcome twins - reports

People magazine reports that Beyoncé and Jay Z welcomed their twins earlier this week.

U.S. singer Beyonce has given birth to twins in Los Angeles, several celebrity news websites are reporting. "There are no words that can express having a baby growing inside of you, so of course you want to scream it out and tell everyone", she said.

TMZ is reporting that doctors kept the twins, a boy and a girl, hospitalized for a week over an undisclosed condition after their birth last Monday.

"They're here! #beyonce #twins #jayz #happybirthday", Mathew shared the news along with a photo of balloons and a message, "Happy Birthday to the twins!"

Regarded as America's most powerful music couple, the duo got married in April 4, 2008 and had their first daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, in January 7, 2012.

The Grammy victor singer revealed that she was pregnant with two back in early February with an Instagram post.

The celebrity family announced their exciting pregnancy news in February in an iconic Instagram post that has since become the most-liked post of all time.

Dailymail.com has reached out to Beyonce and Jay-Z's reps for comment.

On Sunday US media began reporting that the Drunk In Love singer had given birth, and speculated that the kids are a boy and a girl.

Confirming that she was expecting twins Beyonce wrote: "We would like to share our love and happiness".

Beyoncé has blessed the world by bringing two new members of the Knowles-Carter family into it.

If the superstar couple's little ones have in fact arrived, it would mean they were born under Gemini, the zodiac sign symbolised by twins.

Beyoncé adjusted her performance schedule after sharing her pregnancy news.
