Albanian clubs learn Champions, Europa League qualifying campaign opponents

Rangers are back in Europe after a six-year absence

RANGERS are in line for a fiery reception from AEL Limassol fans - if they land the Cypriots in the Europa League.

Partizani, who past year replaced banned Skenderbeu in the Champions League qualifying campaign, were drawn against Bulgaria's Botev Plovdiv in the first Europa League round.

They came closest to qualifying in 2014 but were knocked out by Spurs in the play-off round after a 5-1 aggregate defeat.

Arsenal's fifth-place finish meant they missed out on the Champions League and instead earned an automatic place in the Europa League group stage.

Welsh trio Bala Town, Connah's Quay Nomads and Bangor City will also be fighting it out in the first round, while Aberdeen will learn which of two first-round teams they will take on in the second round.

Ballymena United will also face Norwegian opposition in Odd.

The first round will be played at home at Pittodrie on July 13 with the second match a week later.

A number of big clubs are already involved in the Europa League at an early stage and notable first qualifying round ties include Israeli giants Beitar Jerusalem taking on Hungarian outfit Vasas and Norrokoping taking on Prishtina.
