Vice President Mike Pence has retained the services of attorney Richard Cullen to represent him in legal matters related to the ongoing investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. Pence has retained former U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia Richard Cullen, who is chairman of McGuire Woods, the Post reported.
Cullen is no stranger to high-profile federal investigations.
Vice President Pence has retained Richmond, Va. -based Richard Cullen to deal with ongoing investigations into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation. Paul Trible during the Iran-Contra investigation and was a member of former President George W. Bush's legal team during the 2000 Florida recount, according to his official biography.
Pence's visit comes the morning after President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump made a similar trip to MedStar Hospital.
On Wednesday, it was reported that special counsel Robert Mueller is looking at whether the President attempted to obstruct justice.
Scrutiny of the president's actions has intensified since he fired Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey last month. Trump lashed out at that report at various times on Thursday through his Twitter feed, even recalling language from the campaign to criticize Hillary Clinton as "Crooked H".
