Post the keynote speech, CEO Tim Cook sat down with Bloomberg TV for a chat session, only to reveal that Cupertino has been co-operating with the U.K government, handing over metadata, following the 3 consecutive terrorattacks in the last three months.
A string of attacks in the United Kingdom have led to Prime Minister Theresa May calling on technology companies to prevent their products and services being used by extremists, suggesting that numerous companies that provide web-based services are enabling terrorists a "safe space" in which their ideology captures the attention of the masses.
"We have been cooperating with the United Kingdom government not only in law enforcement kind of matters but on some of the attacks", Cook answered. "I can not speak on detail on that".
Cook did not specify which attacks required Apple's assistance.
Apple "deeply cares" about Music, after creating the iPod, and wants to reinvent music in the home as well, Cook said.
"Encryption doesn't mean there's no information", Cook said, noting that metadata, which still exists despite encryption, can help authorities put together a profile for an attacker. Cook sent an email to staff last week reassuring them that Apple would continue to protect the environment. In the aftermath of the terror attack, U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May said that Internet laws should be stricter and asked Internet companies to remove any online medium terrorists can use to communicate. Apple's high privacy standards and tough encryption have been criticized by law enforcement officials and the company clashed previous year in court with the Federal Bureau of Investigation over the issue.
"He didn't decide what I wanted him to decide", Cook said of the president.
Still, Cook said that he will remain an advisor to the president.

Goaltender Matt Murray could not save Pittsburgh this time with all five goals allowed on 33 shots for a.848 save percentage. Problem is, the Predators are pressuring the puck at the point and following it fervently with their skilled defensemen.
