Love game for Serena: Spox says Williams is pregnant

Tennis superstar Serena Williams confirms pregnancy

(It seems she and Ohanian are now vacationing on a beach at the moment.) While reps for the couple haven't confirmed the news, fans are already in a tailspin that the 23-time Grand Slam is expecting-a few even calculated that the timing of her pregnancy means Williams won the Australian Open in January while being pregnant.

A short statement from her representative on Wednesday (Thursday AEST) said: "I'm happy to confirm Serena is expecting a baby this Fall". But, as Williams recounted on Facebook, she was too fast for him.

The mom-to-be won her 23rd Grand Slam title at the Australian Open in January this year.

Just last week, the tennis phenomenon posted a photo on her Instagram of Kelly Rowland and her new book for new moms. If she announced that she's 20 weeks pregnant today, that means she was 16 weeks pregnant last month.

In a public message to his 18.5k followers, he posted a snap of the 35 year old with her trophy. She is the most recent female player to have held all four major singles titles simultaneously (2002-03 and 2014-15) and the third player to achieve this record twice after Rod Laver and Steffi Graf. She posed for the picture in a yellow, one-piece bathing suit that showed her baby bump.

A congratulatory tweet from the Women's Tennis Association was also deleted. Technically, she hasn't said she's actually pregnant either, leading to at least a little speculation that maybe she's pulling one over on her fans.

Williams is the oldest woman to win a Grand Slam singles title and still dominates the tour at an age when most players have retired.

"He's incredibly - a really nice person", the star said. She pulled out of her next two scheduled events - Indian Wells and Miami - citing a left knee injury.
