Conte keen on Pirlo reunion at Chelsea

Antonio Conte in new disagreement with Chelsea's board over staff change

Conte's representative Andrea Pastorello was quoted last week as claiming the manager could look to move to a "historic" club at the end of the season.

Federico Pastorello, an Italian football agent has stated that the 47-year-old is open to return to Italy, even if Chelsea wins the league, with Inter Milan a possible destination.

However, in a conflicting report in The Times, it is suggested that Pirlo isn't the only man on Conte's radar but that he could instead move to bring in a fellow Italian and former Chelsea hero Carlo Cudicini.

Conte is contracted to Chelsea until 2019 but the club want him to extend his deal this summer.

"It is important to be focused on the present, which is more important than the future".

"I think it's normal to involve my name (with Inter) because I worked in Italy, I think they want to come back for me in Italy".

Chelsea's Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, however, felt his compatriot would not become distracted by such talk over the last few weeks of the season.

Conte now has Chelsea on course to win the Premier League title this season, in what is his first season managing in England. "But I think, also, that this experience is very good for Nathan".

Chelsea travel to Bournemouth on Saturday having responded to a shock loss to Crystal Palace with victory over Manchester City on Wednesday. That's very important for me and the team.

Speaking on the speculation surrounding his former player, Conte said: "I repeat, in this period I'm listening to a lot of things and this is very odd for example". We know we still have a good advantage but this is the Premier League and you don't want to be giving points away.
