Fox News did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
"21st Century Fox takes matters of workplace behaviour very seriously", a company spokesman said in a statement last weekend.
A formerFox News contributor is accusing Roger Ailes of sexual harassment, an accusation that has been plaguing the news network.
BMW wasn't among the top 50 advertisers on "The O'Reilly Factor", but Mercedes-Benz and Hyundai were regular spenders.
At a press conference on Monday, the attorney Lisa Bloom, who is representing one of the accusers featured in the Times' report, took issue with O'Reilly's claim to be a "target" of lawsuits.
A vehicle company spokesperson has called the allegation against Mr. O'Reilly disturbing.
But the sources said Rupert Murdoch, the executive co-chairman of 21st Century Fox and acting CEO of Fox News, takes a hands-off approach when it comes to problems inside his media empire - at least so long as people involved are making money for the company.
Ailes' lawyer Susan Estrich called Roginsky's descriptions of meetings with her client "total hogwash". Roginsky was pulled as a contributor on "The Five" and placed on "Outnumbered", but was not allowed to lead her own segments, the lawsuit states.
Bloom called on NY state authorities to investigate what she called the pattern of sexual harassment against women at Fox News.
In a statement to CNN Monday, a spokeswoman for Mercedes-Benz said their advertising on "The O'Reilly Factor", Fox News'most popular show, had been "reassigned in the midst of the controversy".
The project in development is based on NY magazine writer Gabriel Sherman's reporting on Ailes.
"The idea that Mr. Ailes would pressure Ms. Roginsky or any other women to have sexual relations with him is total nonsense", the statement reads. "We place ads across a wide spectrum of venues intending to reach as many viewers/listeners/ readers as possible without taking a position on the viewpoints of the venues themselves". Former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson also claimed she had been sexually harassed by Ailes, who resigned in July.
Roginski said in the lawsuit that she told Fox executives about the harassment after they tried to get her to join "Team Roger" to protect Ailes by making negative comments about Carlson - who received a reported $20 million settlement from Fox's parent company previous year after filing a lawsuit against Ailes.
Mercedez-Benz said on Monday it was suspending its advertising on the show. Claims have to address activity that happened within the city's five boroughs and must be filed within one year of an alleged infraction.
O'Reilly did not deny the allegations, but said his prominence made him "vulnerable to lawsuits from individuals who want me to pay them to avoid negative publicity".
It's a safe bet that O'Reilly's new book "Old School", a manifesto of sorts on the author's personal beliefs, will crack that list soon.
Suddenly Madison Avenue has got a wary eye on Fox News Channel.

AUD dips despite the expected hold on rates from RBA
One possibility is that the RBA will announce targeted measures to stem mortgage lending; few expect a change in interest rates. Last week, the Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority (APRA) asked banks to limit the amount of new interest-only loans.
NCAA: NC back in running to host events after law change
Armour was also incensed that the NCAA seems to be realizing just how problematic, if not idiotic, its ban on North Carolina is. One instance where North Carolina won't have to worry is with the Atlantic Coast Conference's football championship.
