Energetic Backstreet Boys bring the nostalgia to ACM Awards

The country duo and the veteran boy band had previously collaborated on the harmonious "God, Your Mama and Me" on wax, so it was no surprise (although a total delight) when they performed it together to close the 2017 ACM Awards.

Yee-haw! The Brothers Osborne put on an epic performance of their hit song, "It Ain't Me" at the 2017 ACM Awards in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena on April 2nd!

The best reaction, however, came from Tim McGraw. "We're buds now", the Backstreet Boys' Kevin Richardson said of the experience.

While Justin Timberlake had a show-stopping moment alongside Chris Stapleton at the 2015 Country Music Association Awards, it was the Backstreet Boys who shined brightly at the 2017 Academy of Country Music Awards.

The performance started off with Florida Georgia Lane, but then Nick Carter appeared, and things took an interesting turn as the audience went into overdrive. It feels like a big year, so we're just excited to be a part of country music and the ACMs again. But as social media suggests, for many other viewers, the BSB cameo was a much-needed shot of adrenaline to a relatively flat three-hour show with only a few standout performances. Here's a look at this year's off-camera and pre-show category champions. They even had the chance to tour with huge names like Miranda Lambert and Jon Pardi as well. It's almost impossible to find online, and CBS, the Academy of Country Music and Dick Clark Productions have a tight hold on the video.

In a sparkly pink leotard as irresistible as the song she was singing, Kelsea Ballerini delivered "Yeah Boy" from The First Time, upping the level of fierceness on the album version ever so slightly for the onstage performance. And after performing that tune, the group immediately launched into an explosive version of the Backstreet Boys' 1997 smash "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)", complete with back-up dancers, pyro, and strobe lights that illuminated the entire arena.
