Everton were left counting the cost of another injury during the global break after Argentina defender Ramiro Funes Mori was carried off.
Everton are without the injured Seamus Coleman, Ramiro Funes Mori and Morgan Schneiderlin for Saturday's derby at Liverpool. Everton defender is set to miss the rest of the season because of a knee injury in the latest blow to the Premier League teams defense.
The centre-back had to leave the match after 37 minutes and is nearly certain to miss Saturday's game against Liverpool.
Funes Mori, 26, went down in pain during the first half of Argentina's 2-0 loss in Bolivia last night.
Funes Mori's injury comes after starting right-back Coleman suffered a double leg fracture while playing for Republic of Ireland against Wales during the same worldwide break.
Signed by Roberto Martinez back in the summer of 2015 from Argentinian giants River Plate, Funes Mori has gone on to make 63 appearances for the Toffees in all competitions. The team is six points behind fourth-place Liverpool, which hosts Everton in the Merseyside derby on Saturday.
Coleman's clubmate James McCarthy also aggravated a hamstring injury in the warm-up to that game.
