We can cope without Kane, says Eriksen

Spurs have been handed a huge boost with Kyle Walker passed fit to start after recovering from a foot injury that he picked up at home last week.

Tottenham will be looking to continue their good league form, despite being rocked by the injury of star striker Harry Kane during their 6-0 demolition of Millwall in the FA Cup.

Young midfielder Dele Alli's ability to surprise Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino apparently knows no bounds.

Lloris, Walker, Dier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies, Wanyama, Dembele, Dele, Eriksen, Son. 10 place for Southampton while they have only 33 points from 26 matches.

"We trust completely in our doctor and physios and department that looks after them in the best way".

On changes to his side because of Kane's injury: "We hope things will be different this time but it was a different period, the team is different now".

How can we expect Spurs to perform with Son leading the line though?

Tottenham Hotspur moved back to within 10 points of Premier League leaders Chelsea as they saw off Southampton 2-1 at White Hart Lane on Sunday - their 10th home league win a row.

Southampton went in search of an equalizer and made Tottenham uncomfortable but failed to create clear openings.

Fourteen of those goals have come in the league - four more than he achieved last season. The trio have scored one goal from open play between them and all three have been publicly criticised (or, in the case of Nkoudou, not backed publicly) by Mauricio Pochettino.

Southampton pressed hard for an equaliser, but Pochettino's men held on to extend their impressive home record.

The Saints last scored four goals in three consecutive league games back in December 1980, a run that included a 4-4 draw against Spurs at White Hart Lane.

Roberts was following the game, and he was pleased with Janssen's cameo appearance.

It was an examination that Spurs passed, demonstrating a clinical edge in the first-half and then riding ripples of Southampton pressure in the second-half.

- The only previous top-flight season than Spurs have remained unbeaten at home was 1964-1965 (21 games, 0 defeats). Pochettino believes that the Spurs underperformed in September because of the fact that the players were exhausted after the Euro Competition.
