'Doctor Who' bosses have delighted fans with the first full-length trailer teasing the new series.

In the trailer, the Doctor is accompanied by new companion Bill (Pearl Mackie) and comic-relief sidekick Nardole (Matt Lucas of "Little Britain" fame) as they encounter such fearsome foes as Daleks, emoji-translating robots and the return of Missy - who is actually the Doctor's uber-foe, the Master - played by Michelle Gomez.

There have been many speculations about the next Doctor after Capaldi leaves his role.

Doctor Who series ten will star Capaldi and introduce Pearl Mackie as Bill Potts, the Doctor's new Companion. However, according to a follow-up video Doctor Who's YouTube channel, also below, we should expect to meet a group of enemies known as the Monks over several episodes.

How tough is it to find the right "companion" to travel alongside the titular Time Lord in Doctor Who?

His final scenes will air at Christmas, while the upcoming series will also be the last with lead writer and executive producer, Steven Moffat, at the helm, with "Broadchurch" showrunner Chris Chibnall taking over next year.

Capaldi recently announced he is leaving at the end of the year after three seasons.

Tickets for the Doctor Who season 10 premiere screenings are on sale now at the official Fathom Events website. Peter Capaldi's final season as the Doctor premieres on April 15th at 9 PM ET/PT on BBC America, followed by the U.S. debut of Doctor Who spinoff Class in which Capaldi makes an appearance.
