Owen Farrell suffers injury scare for the most RIDICULOUS reason

Scotland, who have not won at Twickenham for 34 years, chose to stage their final practice session in a local park yesterday rather than stir up the ghosts of past visits to what has been a graveyard for them.

England have decided against calling up an additional player as cover, relying on the 24-man training squad they had previously retained for the Scotland match.

Farrell, the team's first-choice goalkicker, has been central to England's run of 17 successive Test wins and was named Thursday at inside centre for Saturday's clash against Scotland.

To Twickenham this weekend, to see Scotland take on England in the Calcutta Cup that is - for Scotland fans - the central fixture in the RBS 6 Nations. Ben Youngs is restored at scrum-half in place of Danny Care, Jack Nowell is rewarded for his two tries against the Azzurri by ousting Jonny May on the right wing and Jonathan Joseph is preferred to Ben Te'o at outside centre.

The Grand Slam champions, who have yet to hit top form in their title defence, have pledged to let their hair down and go for it in the Calcutta Cup game - whether or not Owen Farrell wins his race to be fit.

I thought we dealt with it fantastically well.

Scotland now sit in third place in the Six Nations table and while they are now outsiders for the trophy behind England and Ireland, an unexpected victory in what has been a much-improved campaign from Cotter and Scotland will see that all change going into the last weekend.

We'll know by 3pm tomorrow whether it'll be Farrell or Ben Te'o wearing the 12 shirt at Twickenham, with England expected to leave it until the very last minute to make their decision.

"We've never had that before and he's been very instrumental in introducing that. My dog was running around and he ran into it".

England certainly look worth taking on after some less than convincing displays and best price 9/2 (Betfair) for a Scotland victory can't be sniffed at.

"That is very good under Eddie Jones, but they tend to win in variety of ways, good or ugly".

Elliot Daly, a noted long-range goal-kicking specialist, is already in the team as a wing.

However, how much time Hogg will spend in attack will depend on his forwards and what sort of ball they can get for him.

"Neither Eddie nor myself are playing, so it's about the players on the field on Saturday, and we know we will need to give our best performance".
