Is Final Fantasy XIV next in line for performance boost?

When rumors about Nintendo developing a hybrid console codenamed NX surfaced way back in 2015, murmurs of Square Enix possibly bringing "Final Fantasy XIV" to the upcoming gaming device circulated the web.

The Stormblood expansion has been given a June 20 release date, and can be pre-ordered for £36.99 on PS4, or £29.99 on PC. Together with the job announcement, show attendees could witness new areas, environments, dungeons and enemies that will come when the expansion releases.

According to The Sixth Axis, producer of the Final fantasy series Naoki Yoshida took this opportunity to discuss the possibility of bringing Final Fantasy XIV to "as many platforms as possible".
