Thousands of Chilean Protesters Want Alexis Sanchez to Leave Arsenal

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger

Arsenal fear Sanchez has already made up his mind about leaving the Emirates this summer.

The push for him to leave has seemingly been sparked by the 5-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League this week, with the former Udinese and Barcelona forward left crouching on the pitch as he could only watch on with his team capitulating in the second half.

At the time of writing, over 5,000 Facebook users have said they will attend the march, which is scheduled to take place on 1 March in the country's capital Santiago.

"Chileans are exhausted of watching one of our stars work alone so that their team can move forward", organisers wrote on the Facebook page.

Clearly there are Chilean fans who believe he deserves to be at a club where he is better supported, and news of their protest will only contribute to Arsenal fears he could be on the verge of a departure from north London.

We don't want him to play at Real Madrid, nor go back to Barcelona, we don't give a f-k where he plays, we just want him to fight along with 10 other players to get the results.

However, with the Frenchman's future far from certain ahead of the end of his own deal coming to an end this summer it seems likely Arsenal will relent and allow Sanchez to move on at the end of the season.

Arsenal, who are fourth in the Premier League table, are now gearing up for their FA Cup fifth-round clash against Sutton United on Monday night.

According to John Cross of the Daily Mirror, the club are fearful that Sanchez, who has yet to sign a new contract, will leave the club this summer.

Contract negotiations between Arsenal and Sanchez have been ongoing but the uncertainty over Arsene Wenger's future and the team's inconsistent form has raised questions over the 28-year-old's future.
