Whatever gamers see in the trailer is likely what they will experience themselves as well, as NieR: Automata has gone gold and new gameplay footage will nearly certainly be featured in the final release at this point.
Developed by Square Enix and PlatinumGames, NieR: Automata is a successor to the 2010 action-RPG NieR, which was released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox One. The video offers a brief explanation of the game's story for anyone who hasn't been following development of NieR: Automata, but the majority of the footage follows NA 's protagonist, the android known as 2B, as she explores the game's open world.
Human beings haven't exactly shown enough appreciation for Earth over the years, with pollution and deforestation destroying much of what made the planet so lovely.
"I never quite realized how handsome this world is", the android known as "2B" says in the latest trailer as she stares off into a vista filled with skyscrapers long overtaken by the surrounding foliage.
In the forsaken wasteland below, the war between the machines and the androids rages on.
Automata will be available March 7 for PlayStation 4 and PC in North America. Adam and Eve may also be one of the last humans on Earth.
NieR Automata's trailer is entitled "Glory to Mankind 119450310". A war that could soon unveil a long-forgotten truth of the world.
Again, no solid launch date for Nier: Automata on PC.
