You can opt up to an all-black leather seating package as well, for those who want a higher end feel out of their off-road ready Ram 1500. Ram recently did this with the 2017 Ram 1500 Night Edition that includes a gloss-black grille, blackout headlamps, black badges, and 20-inch semi-gloss black wheels. Standard on all Ram Rebel Black editions will be black wheels, black interior bezels, black heated seats with black Rebel embroidery and Light Slate Gray accent stitching.
The Rebel already packs quite a punch, thanks to standard equipment like 33-inch all-terrain tires, air suspension, Bilstein shocks, skid plates, tow hooks and a whole bunch of other off-road doodads.
The off-road credentials are substantiated with deep rubber floor mats for protecting the nicer interior from snow and mud. The special model starts at $46,910 (including destination), and arrives at dealerships in March. The Ram truck division had a hit on its hands with the Ram 1500 Rebel, so much so that it styled the 2500 Power Wagon after its little brother.
There's a new version of the Ram 1500 Rebel, though sadly it isn't the Hellcat-powered TRX that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles [NYSE:FCAU] teased us with last fall.
Since its launch as a stand-alone division in 2009, the Ram Truck brand has steadily emerged as an industry leader with America's longest-lasting line of pickups. In a motoring world increasingly dominated by complexity and baffling specifications, it's a nice change to see a new model introduced presumably just because it makes a truck look really cool.
Truck customers, from half-ton to commercial, have a demanding range of needs and require their vehicles to provide high levels of capability.
